Tara is a self-taught photographer, retoucher, interior/prop stylist and creative director, but considers herself an artist who happens to use a camera as her medium.
Tara is a Jill of many trades. She started her career in Los Angeles as a graphic designer for a startup lingerie company. There she wore many hats. In addition to creative content and editing, Tara was also the right-hand to the owner/designer, customer service and shipping assistant and director for in-house photo shoots. During her time as a graphic designer, she explored her passion for fitness and food becoming a personal trainer and Pilates manager/instructor at Equinox. Soon after Tara started a world-famous bacon desserts company called The Sticky Pig where she invented her own unique candies and ice creams, making her rounds on the Food Network, ABC's ‘TheChew’, NBC's ‘The Talk’ and ‘Restaurant Startup’. However, she turned down investors and Costco to pursue her true calling of being a photographer, but mostly an artist. Starting from the ground up once again, Tara is always reinventing herself and pushing to create and constantly expand her knowledge and network in the photography and fashion industry - and she is here to stay.
Her style has a bit colorful with a cinematic feel and a touch of sensuality. Included in her many talents is being able to create beautiful imagery with little to no budget and many times working in less than perfect lighting conditions. She conceptualizes and produces her shoots from top to bottom - gathering her entire team. Tara truly enjoys the complete creative process, from the spark of the idea to the final edit, but equally enjoys collaborative efforts among her peers.
In addition to photography, Tara also paints, draws and her new obsessions of creating sets and pottery. She currently resides outside of Philadelphia, PA.
